Ok Guys, we need to organise a run down to Suffolk to meet up with the rest of the region for the Rougham Show.
Any Ideas’s on meet times, venues and routes will be appreciated, can’t see why we can’t at least have some fun on the way down…

How about Sainsbury’s at Longwater at 7.00am (which should get us to Beacon Hill around 7.45 - 8.00).
If we go via the A47 Norwich Southern Bypass and A140 we can pick up others along the way.
Need to re-think the times as there seems to be a little disparity between real time and ER time!
Martin estimates those guys could be leaving up to forty five minutes later than planned and as lorry parks go, nothing against Beacon Hill but it loses every time to my new kingsize bed and i see no point kicking tyres in lorry parks waiting for others, us Norfolk guys know the score and know where and when we need to be places (except John M of course!)
I would rather pick a much more direct and pretty route straight to Rougham.
Robbie is also planning the same with the guys from Cambridge and according to Google maps the very earliest he will arrive at Rougham will be 08:30 so…
If it is OK with Kev A we could use the car park and maybe the facilities at Juwell Aquariams at Whymondham, Wymondham is as much an equal distance between Attleborough, Costessey, Beccles, Norwich etc as we will get, then leave from there, at say 07:30?
We could take the really good Hethel Road out of Wymondham then turn right onto the B1113 - B1114 - B1111 - A143 All the way to Rougham, cracking roads, good facilities and an extra half hour in bed!
Feedback?
Great Idea Jamie, as you say extra half hour in bed and a great run down.
Meeting at Juwel is no problem, if everyone agrees. Post Code for any that haven’t been is NR18 0WZ.
I will be there a little earlier for any that fancy a brew before we leave.
Well done Jamie.
Sounds good to me
Ken
No problem - but weren’t we supposed to meet the rest of ER at Beacon Hill to convoy to Rougham in the order the cars need to be arranged on the club stand?
Probably but were the Norfolk Rebels - Five’s without a cause - Founders of the revolution!
From now on its our way on the highway!
and as we don’t know about space allocation yet (but are chasing) and it may possibly be more like Helmingham main club / car stand area where cars are lined up, then arriving separately may mean danger of parking up separately…
Ady / me are going to see if there is somewhere on the nearby Rougham Industrial Estate for a final rendezvous just outside the entrance…
…for colour coordinated site entry…
Sounds good to me as well
As for colour coordinated entry, that will be all the blue ones first then.
David.
Me thinks you will be outnumbered by GREEN ones. Neil
hmm, yes… I’ll bring a green one…

Absolutely !! The idea was to arrive in colour formation to make it a million times easier to arrange the stand, and also arrive as a ‘Region’ and not as seperate clubs !! …
It sounds as though we will be parked in a long line so I wanted to look as though we’d thought about how the cars are represented and not just look like a ‘car park’,
and like Martin has mentioned (and from what i’ve been told) it certainly sounds like we will be parked up in the order we arrive, so therefore we don’t want the risk of being split up.
I understand that the guys arriving from Cambridge would rather meet us outside Rougham as they are travelling from the opposite direction and would pass right by the entrance.
It would be MUCH easier if everyone could just met at the same point as arranged rather than making extra hassle. This would have helped the organiser a great deal.
Would you Norfolk guys be happier if we left at 8.30am SHARP from Beacon Hill so that we can all leave together ??
Living at the top end of Stowmarket we’d be much happier with an 8.30 start, or we could sit in in a layby and join the tail as you fly past. Ours is a green one
as a ‘Region’ and not as seperate clubs !! …
Shame coz I kinda like the idea…

We would be happy to compromise and meet you guys just before Rougham, if the Cambridge mob are going straight to that point then we are prepared to rendevous - we are a bit bored with beacon hill mate, it is hardly en-route and the A140 is pants…
I’ve checked it out today. Big industrial estate (Rougham Ind Est) which you probably have to drive through to get on to airfield (not sure on that yet but people were doing so today), and even if you don’t it will only be minutes from the gate. So come off the A14 at Rougham Junction, head North (thats under A14 if you were travelling West), then take first left into the estate. I reckon the second premises on left will have plenty of parking space for rendezvous… be there or be square…
will seek out postcode later…
So is it still Juwel at 7.30 then ?
