The next instalment of The North West Norfolk Groups schedule of events for 2022 is just over 4 weeks away, so time to confirm the details and sign up those who would lke to attend.
July’s event is a 40mile run through some of Norfolk’s finest countryside on roads perfectly suited to MX5’s, with narrow lanes, fast, flowing B roads, wonderful views, pretty villages and a few ‘duck ponds’. Starting at Sainsbury’s car park, the route takes in Gayton, Great Massingham, West Raynham, Whissonsett and the wonderfully named Pudding Norton, finally arriving at Thursford after 90 minutes or so.
If you are unfamiliar with The Thursford Collection, it is a museum and retail outlet located in Thursford, Nr Fakenham. Founded by local man George Cushing, it is now known nationally and internationally for the scale of its collection of steam engines, organs and fairground attractions.
The onsite cafeteria serves hot and cold food and beverages, or if you prefer, you can take a picnic.
