NOS.. Mx5 NB

So… I see alot of people adding turbos and super chargers etc etc… but NOS?
Is the standard 1.8 SVT engine suitable? Do I need forged pistons? What extra or replacements parts would I need to save my engine so to speak… .
Also… hello… ive been away sorry :grimacing:

I’ve seen nitrous oxide kits on NA 1.6 models.

But you will probably get more response asking on the US Miata forum.

It seems having a low miles engine is a good start. Also, the VVT engine compression might be too high.

Needs proper professional advice, fitting, no bodging, corner cutting. To avoid this well known occurence

A pressure relief valve I believe had been tampered with by an amateur, combined with the bottle heater being left inadvertently on, resulting in the back end of the Nissan being blown out. No to little fire.

I’m going to be an old man, and opine that these are a stupid idea. Its not a cheap way to power, given the price of nitrous. The cheap installs are unsafe.

Already have access to the full kit from work… aleady installed nitrous on boss cars and a motorcycle!
And yes I saw that… tragic :frowning: luckily NOS can be removed easily unlike turbos…
I want to play this safe.
