Here’s our NW Area Yorkshire Dales Run on Sunday 7th Oct. A beautiful sunny day and fantastic driving roads up hill and down dale winding our way through the stunning Yorkshire countryside .
All credit to our joint area coordinator and fearless leader for the day ‘MadJim’ Varnom. Why fearless, and why mad I hear you say - well you’d really have to try to keep up with him to understand .
Our first coffee stop
Lunch stop was at the lovely little village of Leyburn, where we all managed to squeeze into (free ) parking spots in and around the village square.
The afternoon stop off was at Stump Cross Caverns, where although there wasn’t time for caving, it was ideal for coffee, loos and a photo opportunity or two
Jess and Max frequently attend local runs
Going back a couple of weeks, here we are on the Blackpool Illuminations Run. Another great outing this time organised by John Smallwood. Weather was looking decidedly dodgy early evening , but dried up nicely for a top down run of 33-5s along the Golden Mile
Here we are regrouping at the start of the lights ready for the run through, and looking forward to a fish & chip supper at the far end
And on our way through the lights heading towards the Tower
Many thanks to the organisers who make these runs possible
