Hi,
My 2006 nc OBD socket doesn’t have any power to it so I can’t scan the vehicle.
I’m assuming it’s got a blown fuse, the book doesn’t point to where the fuse could be, just says engine management and there is 3 or 4 of them.
Cheers
Michael

Does the engine run?
If so then the Room fuse (15A in under bonnet fuse box) which supplies the OBD2 socket is OK and not blown.
It can be a bit of a ****** to plug into far enough to make contact, and even worse to unplug because of the latch tang.
I snipped the latch strip off the shroud on my various plugs going into it to make my life easier.
Yeah the car is running, it’s my abs light that’s on.
I tried scanning but no joy , then I tried scanning the engine and nothing, tried 3 different scanners and they all said no response.
I will have a look under the bonnet, car manual isn’t clear which one is the fuse.
Cheers for the reply.
Then forget the Room fuse. That is definitely OK.
ABS light is another thing entirely, and is unlikely to be diagnosed by generic OBD2 scanners. It needs the Mazda test box with their custom extras.
I think you need to bite the bullet and seek professional help.
I used an autel and my friend’s bosch kts scanner and an old snap on scanner, all said they couldn’t connect.
A bit of a long shot, try and get a picture of the socket, as a pin may well have been pushed out of the socket hence no connection/
Good Luck
Kevin
Will do, thank you for the tip.
See the following topic, it may give you some pointers for where to look.
I will go through it after work tomorrow, some good pointers there, thank you.
