This may have been suggested or even done before in which case I’ll get quietly back in my box. If not then who’s up for building a mx5 OC themed entry to the red bull soapbox race? No idea whats entailed or how to go about it but could be a good way to promote the OC with some laughs along the way.
Perhaps if the Area that it’s in (wherever that is) got behind the idea it could be a great bonding and activity projec.

One of the Club Areas did just this a few years ago. Not for Red Bull event but for another gravity racing series. They built a really great go kart and took it to a few races from what I can recall. I’ve just tried to find info online about it but seems to have gone. Anyone else remember, Was it SWM Area who did it?
Back a few years ago at a Spring Rally 2005 the Club had its own go kart (gambo) competition down a hill at Margam Park. Quite a few Areas built karts and managed to transport them in MX-5s to the event (that being a challenge in itself). It was good fun although I think a few of us got the odd bruise either from the driving or the pushing to get them going…

Looks like this years Red Bull soapbox race is in London I would have liked to do this as my son does the local race in the National Grid home build car.

South West Midlands has one, It is called MAZDA PIECE. It was at the National rally. it is a proper gravity racer.
I believe this is it, dressed up as a Wacky Racer at Donington National last year…
