Off to Crail on Sunday 13th, anyone else fancy it?

Looks like it might be damp but hopefully not outright wet, so me and my mate Peter are going to sneak in a wee trip to Crail. It’s a big wide open fast track, so not really ideal MX5 territory tbf but on the other hand, it is £35 for the full day, open pit so you can get all the track time you can eat, and it’ll probably be pretty quiet on track. Probably about as low stress and low cost as a trackday gets.

(they also have the drift oval running but I’d just slide backwards into a wall)

Hi, I think I may manage on Sunday, I wont put my car on the track , but love to watch others, What time are you going?

Should be there for the opening (whenever that is, they haven’t actually announced it yet because like all small tracks they like to make it harder for people to actually go  )

If you’re reading this stephen/steven, hi! o/

Excellent day out, really got the weather. May have disgraced myself, spun it properly once on the big stretch and slightly punted a tyre on the tyrewall corner in the middle. Then developed a bit of a smoking problem but got it home in one piece! First time on a bigger track for me since the 2.5 swap and tbf I don’t quite have the chops for the extra power and torque, but it’s a good learning experience.

Mazda build quality… melts in the rain but you can slide it into a tractor tyre and not leave a mark.
