Oil leak help

Hi all

Hoping for a bit of advice ,just took my mx5 for a spin after her being frozen for a couple of weeks ( lives outside ).When smoke appeared from the bonet ,after a quick look realised oil had dropped onto the exhaust manifold, not sure if it from the rocker cover gasket .Does anyone know if this is a known issue.All help would be appreciated

Never heard of an NC leaking oil from the cam cover, always a first of course. Mk1/MK2’s cam covers can leak, had to deal with one myself but guessing yours is the NC engine here?

Yep nc 2010 model ,just wondered if the cold weather may have had something to do with it .

Very strange, are you able share some photos of what’s under the bonet

All cleaned up now just waiiting to see if it happens again :crossed_fingers:
