Hi Bettabuilda, thanks for that, I did have a look, unless I’m mistaken it looks like you were fitting fog only lights whereas I’m looking to add DRL to my MK3.75, I’m not necessarily looking for combined Fog and DRL but it was jus a thought. The ones on MX5 parts are very expensive and I don’t mind paying but I very concerned about replacing bulbs and the though of repairing/replacing those ones is quite off putting.
Ultimately, I want to just add DRL and have seen there are some retro fit halo DRL lights on eBay, i’ll check those out
That’s what I fitted? The OEM fog lights were already on the car but rather than a sepearate set of DRL’s these are halo ones, combined with the fogs. A very simple bit of wiring and off you go! Personally, I’d want to add rather than remove the fogs to replace with just DRL’s? Unless I’ve misunderstood you? I ran them on the red car for 3 years, no issues whatoever, and now have them on the latest car, £30 all in was an easy decision to make.
