It’s not quite ours yet, we don’t pick it up till 17th September, but its coming:
It’s replacing a F56 Mini Cooper that the wife has really enjoyed and will be sad to see go:
The plan is to get it properly sealed with Dinitrol before the end of September, then detail it properly.
If things go to plan in October we’ll be taking it to BBR for the Super 190 & spring upgrade, and depending on how that takes may be the yet to be released BBR turbo kit in the new year.
Wow a few mods to start with, the right ones too.

Brought a few bits as well ahead of time:
Couple of stickers, the pedals (cheaper than the dealer), stubby aerial, and most importantly a Hiroshima cap from the Carps. We went to Hiroshima over easter and I deeply regret not going to the factory now.

Just got our first MX beastie, love it, as will you
Our MX-5 was delivered yesterday, after a quick clean:
Fitted the aerial, pedals and other bits yesterday then we had a drive round our favorite local B Roads. Lucky the rain cleared up and we could get the roof down.
It didn’t come with mats so we ordered a set of luxury mats from MX5 Parts, hope they turn up today. Once they come I’ll take a few pictures inside.

They shouldn’t be squashed as I kept the aspect ratio the same when I used the image option on the forum to downsize the pictures. The originals are 18 megapixel so pretty large on most PCs. Here is a link to the album in case they do look squashed for others: http://imgur.com/a/ET3ZR
You know what that means… you’ll just have to go back! It is definitely worth going to - and the bonus is it’s free. We went coming up to two years ago and I’m itching to go back; I loved Japan.

I’ve removed the resizing from the pictures, do they look any better?
The Volvo is our boring family car, enables us both to have something more fun as a daily as we don’t have to worry about fitting the kids into our daily drivers. It is a nice enough place to sit for hours at a time but it is hardly a driver’s car. The Volvo replaced an aging S-Max, bad timing meant replacing two cars in the same week.
Ordered a set of custom leather bags from MX-5 Bags and I’m hoping they turn up before we go away in October. The MX-5 is scheduled to go to Dinitrol for rust proofing on Friday but I’m going to have to wait till next month before the MX-5 can go to BBR for their 190 upgrade although I’m toying with waiting a bit longer for their ND turbo upgrade. When I spoke to BBR they said the stage 1 turbo should make between 240 and 250 BHP, which is more like it!

I’ve updated the sizing on the Volvo, it should look better but I think it is still going to look ropey on low res screens as it doesn’t seem to be honouring the aspect ratio of the photos when it dynamically resizes them for devices with low res screens. If somebody knows what I am doing wrong let me know.
