We picked the car up recently through a private sale, a really tidy car and so much better than a number of cars we saw through dealers. A great price as well, much cheaper than the Sport Black we saw with a MX5 specialist and although you got a warranty and some peace of mind buying from them the people selling our car seemed very genuine and the car well looked after so we went for it.
I think we are both surprised about the quality of the ride whilst still being fun to drive, I can only imagine what it would be like on lower springs but I’m not sure we’d want the ride any firmer - maybe we will look into modifying the car a bit next year. There is a slight shake through the steering wheel we you brake a bit hard, I’m not sure if this is related to the brakes or the wheels but the car is going to for its wheel alignment and I’ll get them to look at the balancing and tracking at the same time so I’ll chat to the garage before they do the work about what the problem might be.
Upgraded the steering wheel this week and we are really pleased, makes the standard steering wheel look so naff. Jack at Royal Steering Wheels was a really nice guy who fitted it in 10 minutes.
I keep looking at the BBR website… must stop before I spend money on a power upgrade.
