Out door Half cover

 Hi All.

  Any advise on buying a good half cover.

 There seems to be alot out there in small med etc etc , but i would like one that fits my 5 nice and snug and not mark the paint work.

I know it should go in the garage but its full of crap.!!!Be quick its getting bloody cold out there.

I tried a full cover once; never again as, yes, it marked the paintwork.

 

For a few years, I have been using a small sized Halfords car cap; its actually oversized for the car. You can sort of lash it down around the corners of the bumpers  and wheels, and it’ll stay on even in the most heavy of gales. Its not waterproof (water resistant), but will stop that heavy build up of water that might result in a leak into the car.

The wiper blades hold the front down with a strap that goes forwards and under the front bumper. There are pockets for the mirrors that hold it down at the sides and at the rear is another strap. Very well made and stays where it should.

Those look like a worthwhile investment and they’re only just up the road - well, about 25ish miles away… Thumbs up

 We used it every night on our Scotland trip, only takes a couple of minutes to put on/take off and keeps the rain off the hood and drip rail.

Looks good and is well made and may stop any oportunist scum having a look see for what they can thieve from the car, not that we left anything in it.

Yes got mine now. Quick delivery. Fits well had it on the 5 every night .If anyone is thinking about a half cover , this does the job. Thumbs up
