P & P Sunday Run May 7th

We will trial the Tour de Yorkshire Stage 1 route on Monday, (in our MX5!!) at the moment the proposed route is

The Stockyard, Hellaby  9:30 to 10:00

Maltby – Tickhill – Bawtry – Hadfield  Woodhouse  -Thorne – Rawcliffe – Airmyn – Howden – Holme-on-Spalding-Moor

Coffee and comfort  stop  at  Langlands, Shiptonthorpe ( to be confirmed)

Pocklington, we start the Tour de Yorkshire Stage 1 here, http://letour.yorkshire.com/stage-1/map

Malton, Kirby Misperton – Pickering – Goathland – Blue Bank – Ruswarp – Whitby Town.

Park on the headland by the Abbey, a walk around Whitby, Fish and Chips are compulsory !!

Members wanting to shorten the run could head for home here, for the rest

Hawsker – (Robin Hoods Bay) – Fylingthorpe – Cloughton – Scarborough  (North Bay and Harbour )

 Cayton Bay – Filey (front if time allows) – Bemptom – Flamborough Lighthouse (Comfort Stop)

Bridlington – Burton Agnes – Driffield (Town Centre) North Dalton – Warter – Pocklington – Market Weighton  - Holme-on-Spalding-Moor – Howden. M62 home.

Mileage, The Stockyard to Howden via the east coast approx 200 miles

Thanks for the friendship today from a MX5 newbie. Great day, great company. We commented that it seemed very lonely driving off from Flamborough without a convoy!

Just got home. 278.3 miles done today in all. The extra mileage was down to the fact that we obviously thought the route published wasn’t quite far enough… (well, that’s our story and we’re sticking to it).  Laughing

(I hope Lesley is feeling better soon. It was probably all those miles that Burton made her pedal on the tandem whilst checking the route last week).
