Hi, has anyone fitted the Paco Motorsports seat lowering rails in an ND? I’m considering fitting them to mine, but have some concerns. I don’t strictly need to fit them; I’m 6’1" (185cm) and I fit OK in the car with the seat all the way back (and tilted all the way back too), but I can’t help thinking I’m sitting a little too high up (on it rather than in it as people say).
I’m concerned about how safe they are and if they’re acceptable to insurance companies. I’ve read quite a lot of reviews etc that seem to suggest it’s impossible (or nearly so) to tighten the brackets fully, which is kind of worrying. In the event of an accident, I wouldn’t want to end up smashed against the dashboard if the seat flies forward!
Had them fitted to my rf, fitted much better and driving position is better. Made no difference to the insurance, could have been the fact it had a number of mods.
As to saftey, fit them correctly and they are rock solid secure, you will scrape your knuckels but hey i stopped smacking my head on the roof at every bump
