I bought a secondhand set of genuine black sport 17’s for my NC, came with nice tyres but unfortunately one of them has a bit of kerb rash and another has a chip on it.
So does anyone know what colour is a match for the black wheels, I say black, they are really just a very very dark grey. Don’t want to go for a refurb as I’ll just kerb them myself anyway, and if I was going for a refurb I’d do them all in silver.
I’m interested in this to, I have bought a Kuro and has the anthracite type colour version of the standard wheels and one of these has a bit of damage, I have found plenty of body colour references but none of the wheels. I assume dealers would have this info but my nearest is quite a distance and have limited time
There isn’t any paint code for the alloys AFAIK. Best course of action is to try and match with any off the shelf colour or try a wheel refinisher to ask if they can match a colour.
A couple of those alloys pop on eBay, paint described as gunmetal grey by one dealer if it helps.

I had the same problem as MX5_Keith.
Even the local Mazda garage couldn’t give me a paint colour for my Sport Black 17’s.
I just touched up with nearest I could find. You can’t tell unless you get on hands and knees and study them, but who does that…!!!

All paints come down to a formula, so if there isn’t something off the shelf a decent car paint shop should be able to do it either by eye, with a spectrometer or colour paint sample chips.
The nearest place I know that could do it are miles away and in the London ULZ, so I’m not going there with a loose wheel for them to match the paint from. There must be a standard colour that’s close enough. I tried straight black but it shows even without getting on your hands and knees.
I just went for gloss black looks really good being grey car
I have the same colour car, don’t to pay out for a refurb of all 4 wheels, just need to touch up one wheel.
I found this code, but don’t buy it. 0000-92-gmw
It is for the later model wheel colour but it shows paint codes for the wheels do seem to exist.
Also, they are called dark gunmetal
