Paint Codes

Hello,
I’ve looked at the sticky on this site about where i can find my paint code -  i have a mk2.5. The chassis number plate under the bonnet did not have any of the paint codes on it.
I saw on another website that this info might be on a plate inside the drivers door - I found an info plate there but it was only for tyre pressures.

I’m new to MX5’s. Am i missing somthing or looking in the wrong place?

Thanks

The paint code will not be shown on your car.

Thank you Robbie. I’m going to try to phone Mazda today and ask them if they can identify the color.
Do you know why the paint code is not shown?
Thanks

These pages might help you home in on your colour,

Just something Mazda stopped doing some time ago. Don’t know why. A dealer can give you the paint code from VIN.

Doesn’t the vin plate tell you somewhere what the code is? Mine has a sticker next to the drivers door pillar on the inside that shows the code for outside and inside colour and trim spec, engine type, suspension type and lots of other useful info if you’re into that sort of thing!!!

If you tell us what colour your car is, and whether it’s a special/limited edition I’m sure someone will be able to tell you what name and code it is.

In 2004 Mazda started to computerize all MX5 records, including all service records.  Prior to 2004 all information relating to the car could be found on various information stickers on the car.  After 2004, you need to contact the service dept of any Mazda Main Agent, with the registration number and they will be able to give you the full spec of the car as it was when originally sold in the UK.  (This doesn’t apply to imports).

Thank you all for your advice.
Thanks to the link provided by Rich M - I have narrowed my car down as a strato blue mica (25E)
Thanks to Creayzy for the info on mazda digitising their records. - This explains why i cant find the paint code anywhere on the car.

Cheers
