Paint colour code

I am trying to find out the colour code for my 2007 MX5, I know it is 3 digits, where can I find it on the car.

It should be on a plate in the engine bay or a door shut.

It is usually on the label that is stuck on the drivers door jamb.

I really wouldn’t go off the paint code if your buying more than a touch up stick.
Go to your local paint supplier and get them to do a swatch comparison, i’ve ordered paint in the past by the code and it’s been way off, and i ended up paying for it.

I have managed to find it, called my local Mazda dealer who, following my telling him my VIN No. kindly gave it to me, 32S.

There is no plate giving the colour code, apparently others found the same when I searched google, where I read to call the local dealers with the VIN.

It is metallic grey, now know it is Galaxy Grey code 32S. Thank you

Very good advice, thank you. I have already ordered some from ebay, but will do tests before I apply it to the car. The area I am doing is under the boot lid where the number plate lights are located. There are a couple of very small stone chips which I will not attempt them until convinced of the colour compatibility.
