I have a dent in the drivers door, and am looking for recommendations for a paintless dent removal company near Oxford. I have googled and gotten quotes from several companies all looking to charge about £70.
If anyone has any experience with paintless dent removal companies, or these companies in particular please let me know how they did: Dent worx Oxford, bodytechpdr, Oxford Dent Removal, Premier Dents Oxford, Excel dents
For anyone curious, here is a pic of the dent. Does £70 seem fair?
Sad about your dent but it looks a bit severe for a non paint repair as removal must leave cracks in original paint with longer term rust potential. Interested in what others think but perhaps you should get some quotes for a “proper repair”. Good luck
Never had any issues with pdr on mine but mine was done in the north west. The only criteria relate to uncracked paint an experienced technician leaves it all looking original. Mine was £80 callout + 20 for every additional dent.
Hi, I looked into this a while back but didn’t go ahead. Mostly because I have about half a dozen very small dents probably made by car doors in car parks, and the cost at £70 each would add up to silly money. I should find out if additional dents are same price.
Is £70 a good price? It probably buys you an hour and half of labour at the most. If they can do it well in that time that has to be a bargain. If the dent is too deep and the paint cracks, will you still be expected to pay? Do they offer any guarantee before they try?
Glad your experience was good guys but we all know paint is not flexible so did they give you any warranty about rust and if so for how long? How long ago was yours done?
Friar, have you had problems with pdr? I’ve had dents removed without cracking paint a few times over the years. Never had a problem with rust at a later date. Paint is quite flexible, and Mazda’s have soft paint, more flexible than most.
To answer your question Taxi_Driver have to admit that have no experience on Mazda with PDR but did experience poor durability on a Mondeo - rust lines like a spider web after 3 months - and a Volvo where the paint actually cracked when the “repair” was being carried out. Both these cars were metallic so this may not have helped. Perhaps the modern non-solvent paints will be more flexible! Regards.
Mine was done in March I have had no issues, good professionals only charge 70/80 for callout the following dents were only 15-20 when I looked so worth grouping them together then it is only one callout charge.
