I have just had the F/N/S wing of my NC3.5 replaced. As a result the identification sticker has gone. Are these available and if not, will it depreciate the value of the car?
These are difficult to remove without destroying. I suppose some buyers would check these but most would not. http://www.ecsvin.com/
These stickers are distributed all over the car in hard to find places.
It is very unlikely that anyone will notice apart from yourself and in that case, you only know some of the locations of the stickers.
I would get on with life.
The service history would include invoices for the repair.
The repair was as a result of someone running into the car. The insurance company sent the car to a non Mazda repairer.
The stickers are not available to buy.
These security stickers are there so that with a simple check it can be seen that all marked panels are original. Anybody examining the vehicle who checks will see that the wing has been changed. Presumably they will then examine it carefully to check panel gaps, fit and colour match. Accidents happen and as long as repairs are done to a good standard it’s no big deal. Both wings, front panel and bonnet would be a different matter.
Having a replacement copy made might be skating on thin ice. One missing sticker on a potential purchase wouldn’t worry me too much. If I found a fake sticker I would be walking.
