Parallel universe?

How many people have been lost in a parallel MX5OC Forum and didn’t even know it?

There’s another with the word ‘staging’ in the URL where all your saved settings are screwed up and no matter how many times you reset them they keep reverting to the ‘Tree view’ and automatically sending you notifiers every time you post.

Looks like the other side of Twoface in Batman!

You think this is bad - try that version!

And you don’t even know you’re not in the production version. It’s only that someone pointed out that people were somehow being misdirected to it. [:@]

Just turned the staging forum off and added a link to this one, fingers crossed [8-)]

Been there, done that.  I spent most of Monday in “Narnia” before I found out it wasn’t the real world.

Bob - I just took a look at http://staging.mx5oc.co.uk/forum/forums/ and I don’t see your link to the real forum, only the message saying the forums are temporarily closed.

http://staging.mx5oc.co.uk/forum/ shows the link

So it does.

Though, since that wasn’t the page I had bookmarked as a favourite, I would never have found it.

Still keep getting redirected to that site - but now it says Forum Temporarily disabled.

 Doh!

Still seems to be screwing things up - getting misdirected to the old forum and even when I log in here - and I have to log in anew every time -  my account seems to be connected to the old site still - getting these messages:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

What's going on?

Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:2.0.50727.42; ASP.NET Version:2.0.50727.210

Deleted all previous links and favourites, went to MX5OC site and started again from there.

Now, for a few minutes, everything looks back to normal, although I notice a lot of my posts have disappeared. Presumably on the old site - but I’m not going back there again. It’s like ‘Groundhog Day’.
