Passenger seat adjusted during tyre change

Afternoon all, just wanted to see what the typical procedure is for fitting 4 fresh tyres on a car. I’ve a Eunos and took it somewhere local to have it sorted. The whole procedure took around 1h30. During the drive home that the passenger seat had been moved all the way back. Now, I usually have it far back but not all the way back as I like to store my bottle behind and it also has a tendency to squeak when it is fully back. I just want to know if there is a reason why the seat would’ve been adjusted as my mind instantly went to a quick joy ride round.

30 minutes for the tyre fit and balancing, an hour for the blow out around the by-pass with your mate.

Honestly, some folk just don’t know how to act

Is it 1April?

What?

Your question…

Typical procedure, for those who haven’t had tyres changed, might be.

Mechanic fits protective seat cover

Mechanic gets in car

Adjusts seat to ensure they are safe and comfortable to drive into workshop and onto ramp

Hunt for locking wheel nut key as necessary

Remove first wheel and change tyre - c15 mins

Repeat 3 times.

Wipe down steering wheel etc

Drive car out of workshop

Shop manager prepares invoice

Yep, if you are jacking a car up and changing 4 tyres in 30 minutes you are on a mega mission and highly likely to fail.
Seats get moved for all sorts of reasons, dropping the locking wheel nut would be one of them.
