Passenger Window, Open/Close process

  1. My model of MX-5 is: ND
  2. I’m based near: Glasgow
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: Passenger Window

Hey all,

I’ve noticed that the small open/close process that happens when you open the door doesn’t happen on the passenger side so when the door opens it remains fully up and when closed isn’t fully sealed/leaves a small gap. If I put the window down and back then back up, it seals correctly.

Is anyone suffered this issue before? I couldn’t find any previous threads, it’s rather annoying so any assistance would be great.

Cheers.

try sitting in the drivers seat of the car with ignition on press the passenger side window switch down when the window is all the way down keep the switch pressed for 10 seconds. pull the switch up and repeat in the up position. i work in a body shop this is a generic fix for many makes of car so it may not work on your car but worth a try.

Thanks bro. I’ll give it a try!

Is it possible installation of LED side light indicators or interior cabin/boot light LEDs could have wrecked something?

No.

Now and again my pass window fails to drop. I manually open and next time it’s fine. Probably was just feeling lazy.
