Passenger window stuck open

I had my windscreen replaced yesterday by auto glass and now my passenger window is stuck in open! Any ideas if this is linked?

Have you depressed the lockout button on the driver’s side window switch panel?

Yes, I’ve tried the reset etc. Goes up about 3 cm and down and that’s it.

Seems a bit of a coincidence just after windscreen replacement. Worked fine before

Any metallic grinding noises? Likely to be a failed window regulator (very common).

There is a small Metallica grinding noise and then just nothing…. No noise just dead.

Window regulator has failed and will need to be replaced, its a VERY common issue unfortunately.

Yes, i can’t see how that would be linked to windscreen replacement.

I had this issue - thread here - Window Regulator Ofiaich. Part cost me about £45 including vat and my mechanic fixed it and charged £40.00!

I remember cable on damaged regulator was rusted and frayed, hope you get sorted quickly,
