This was the best attended event of 2015. And for good reason!

It’s a private air show featuring the very best that the RAF has to offer. In the air, Red Arrows, Typhoon, Tornado, Spitfire and much, much more during an amazing four hour flying display. On the ground, static aircraft to crawl round, trade stands and catering stands. And one or two very exotic motors - there were some beautiful examples of Aston Martin and Lamborghini.

This year, RAF Marham will be celebrating one hundred years of operational flying, as well as looking forward to hosting the F-35B Lightning II in 2018.

And the good news? We’ve been invited back! Last year, 41 MX-5s raised an impressive amount of money for BIG-C. And we’ll try to do the same this year! The only reason we are invited to RAF Marham is because we, like them, are supporting BIG-C. Unlike most Norfolk Fives’ events, our support of the charity is the reason we are invited. Hopefully, you will consider that your donation is a worthwhile contribution to a charity that we never want to use.

Much more details to follow over the next few weeks. The format will be much the same, with a start point of Longwater at about 0900, and a convoy to the base, picking those who live to the west at Swaffham. Security will be paramount, for obvious reasons, and those who attended last year will be excused security checks. If you didn’t, you’ll be asked for lots of information including your driving licence / passport numbers - probably during April.

I will have to get security clearance for everyone. If you attended in 2015, and your personal details remain the same, I don’t need any more information from you. If you didn’t attend last year, I need the following for each of you:-

Last name - Forenames - Date of Birth - Place of Birth - Address and Post Code - Nationality - Passport or Driving Licence number.
