Pat Kirk Omagh / Abingdon Collection visit

This run is taking place this Saturday 2nd July. - Meeting at the Services (Motorway Restaurant) on the main Dungannon /Ballygawley road just opposite Donnelly Motors to leave at 10:15 sharp. If you wish to join club members for breakfast I would suggest arriving about 9:15 - 9:30 at the latest. We would plan to be at Pat Kirks for around 11 - 11:15

This is a repeat of the very successful event we held 2 years ago. This Mazda Dealer (Pat Kirk) has been very welcoming to the Club over the years and has once again agreed to host this event and provide for us refreshments and buscuits on arrival. From there we will head with Philip Faithful (long time club member) to his private collection/museum at around 12:15. If you have never visited this before you will be in for a treat and a surprise at the size and scale of this collection which is split into 2 main parts with WWII memorbilia and a Classic Vehicle collection. seehttp://theabingdoncollection.com/about-us/

After a short run we will then head to the Newtownstewart Golf Club for an early evening meal around 4pm. Again we have visited this venue in the past and have been very impressed with the quality and the value of the meals on offer. This will leave us in good time to eat and be on our way home by 6pm at the latest. At that stage you will be free to travel home via Dungannon - the same way as you arrived - or alternatively some may wish to head home via the more scenic route around the North of Lough Neagh via Cookstown, Randalstown Antrim etc. Distance is about the same, give or take about 3 miles, but the scenic route will take about 25 minutes longer.

If you are a new member and haven’t been with us before, or you might be interesting in joining the MX-5 Owners Club you will be made welcome at this event.

There is no charge to visit the Abingdon collection - however contributions in aid of Cancer UK will be  gratefully accepted

See you there.
