Just to let members shopping for mx5 car insurance know of the ‘cheap headline’ but expensive ‘add ons’ for this company who claim to offer user-friendly ‘classic car insurance’- they don’t. Basic routine administrative changes cost a minimum of £45 and when your policy appears you get charged for ‘legal assistance cover’ (£27) even when you have not asked for it - far too much hassle for any limited mileage policy I think.
My strong advice would be for members looking for clear, genuine quotes to steer well clear of ‘Performance Direct’. I have cancelled my policy with them.
