Petrol Stations, Directions Hotels to Hop Farm & Speed Cameras

 Petrol Stations<o:p></o:p>

Hop Farm - There are two petrol stations not far from the Hop Farm.  One is just off the A228 one roundabout north of The Hop Farm, it is also a Co-Op Local if you need other supplies (TN12 5WH) you can see the signs from the A228.  The other is as you head in to Paddock Wood from the Hop Farm roundabout TN12 6DP.<o:p></o:p>

Holiday Inn - There are three petrol stations within a few hundred yards of the Holiday Inn, one to the north of the motorway, the other two are on the A20to the south of the motorway; one on your right just after traffic lights and one a bit further along after the turning you need to take for Paddock Wood - see directions below<o:p></o:p>

Hilton - ahh!  Well if you are brave you can fight your way in towards <st1:place w:st=“on”>Maidstone</st1:place> as the closest one is on a rather nasty bit of the one-way system and the next closes on the wrong side of a dual carriageway where you can’t cross over!  Most are in and around <st1:place w:st=“on”>Maidstone</st1:place> - best bet would be to ask at reception or Google “petrol stations near ME14 5AA”.  For the not so brave - head back down the M20 (coast bound) to the services at Junction 8, or when heading off for the Hop Farm after exiting M20 junction 4 onto A228 turn off A228 onto A20 (in either direction) as there a petrol stations in both directions.<o:p></o:p>

Directions

HopFarm Postcode is TN12 6PY

 From Holiday Inn to Hop Farm - Turn left out of the Holiday Inn car park onto A20, straight on at traffic lights (petrol station on right hand side), take next right for Paddock Wood B2016 - the tourist sign for Hop Farm has disappeared but I will put up an MX-5 direction arrow on Friday night<v:shapetype o:spt=“75” o:preferrelative=“t” stroked=“f” filled=“f” path=“m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe” coordsize=“21600,21600” id="_x0000_t75"> <v:stroke joinstyle=“miter”></v:stroke><v:formulas><v:f eqn=“if lineDrawn pixelLineWidth 0”></v:f><v:f eqn=“sum @0 1 0”></v:f><v:f eqn=“sum 0 0 @1”></v:f><v:f eqn=“prod @2 1 2”></v:f><v:f eqn=“prod @3 21600 pixelWidth”></v:f><v:f eqn=“prod @3 21600 pixelHeight”></v:f><v:f eqn=“sum @0 0 1”></v:f><v:f eqn=“prod @6 1 2”></v:f><v:f eqn=“prod @7 21600 pixelWidth”></v:f><v:f eqn=“sum @8 21600 0”></v:f><v:f eqn=“prod @7 21600 pixelHeight”></v:f><v:f eqn=“sum @10 21600 0”></v:f></v:formulas><v:path o:extrusionok=“f” gradientshapeok=“t” o:connecttype=“rect”></v:path><o:lock v:ext=“edit” aspectratio=“t”></o:lock></v:shapetype><v:shape type="#_x0000_t75" alt=“Smile” id="_x0000_i1025" style=“width: 14.25pt; height: 14.25pt;”><v:imagedata o:href=“http://www.mx5oc.co.uk/forum/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/original/emotion-1.gif” src=“file:///C:UsersloginAppDataLocalTempmsohtml11clip_image001.gif”></v:imagedata></v:shape>.  Continue on B2016 until you join up with the A228 following the Hop Farm brown tourist signs.<o:p></o:p>

From Hilton to Hop Farm - Turn left out of the Hilton car park and head for M20 London, exit M20 at Junction 4 (A228 West Malling, Kings Hill, Tonbridge) The Hop Farm is signed from the motorway.  Stay on A228 following Hop Farm tourist signs until you arrive - unless you need petrol before you get there in which case take a short detour along the A20 and back!<o:p></o:p>

Please note variable speed limits operate on M20 around <st1:place w:st=“on”>Maidstone</st1:place> at busy times and there are speed cameras on the overhead signboards.  Also mobile speed cameras (they also check tax discs and mobile phone use) are often in operation on the A228 and B2016 so please keep to the speed limits - most of the B2016 and A228 is at 50mph not national limit.  There are also quite a few speed cameras on the main routes into and out of Maidstone.

But most of all - do have fun.

Thanks for this info very helpful Big Smile wont be long now lol

Steve

Speed cameras can be found on the map page here and petrol on this google map…hopefully! While I’ve never seen camera vans on the A228 or B2015 as shown on the map don’t expectt hem not to be there once they notice an increase in sports car traffic over the weekend! As always…drive safe and have fun. See ya there everyone!

You can’t have driven by at the right time!  They like hiding in the rough layby bit just round the bend north of the Brookside Roundabout (formed when they re-did the East Peckham ByePass) - seen them there 3 times since begining of April!
