That’s very like the Brodit that I use.
I had it 3d printed after finding the file online
Is that some delamination on the sat nav screen?
Yes it is … apart from major surgery , i’m not sure there is anything i can do about it
Its not too difficult to take apart, supposedly you can just replace the screen component I believe. I changed mine to a Mazda 2 screen (easier to find than an ND2 screen but the same) and sold my old one before it happened.
I fitted one of these;
aliexpress
A bit nerve wracking but ok following the online guides. The only problem was not knowing how to unlock the clip on the ribbon connector but I figured that out eventually.
The new screen is more reflective than oem but I think it looks a bit more premium.
I’m not sure I’m ready to do that yet
Yeah, took me a few months before I finally ordered one!
I used this guide and a variety of YT videos along the way;

I fitted one of these got it last year from Amazon Black Friday deal like it as you can just by rotation got it for £8.98
Kenu Airframe+, Air Vent Car Phone Holder Mount, Cell Phone Stand, Expandable Grip & 360 Degree Pivot, Compatible with iPhones, Samsungs, & Androids
thank you for taking the time to look…!
Got one of these. Fits perfectly in the vent and stable. Opens wide enough for most phones and has height of phone in holder adjustment.
I found those push-on vent mounts are not up to the job - had tried a couple of different types but the shaking of the car going over potholes and torn up road surfaces had me resorting to the Brodit/ProClip system I have on my Volvo.

Yes, agreed. I bought a good quality one with good sticky rubber and alternative thickness gaps, but you’re likely to find you need to support the lower end of the phone to stop its weight dragging the vent slats down.
Too many options. I went for this. Stick it right next to the instrument binnacle with double sided tape. All for the price of an overpriced coffee!
This is great, but at an eye watering price. Someone please create a file for 3D printing that creates something similar The key is how the holder is mounted to the dash, not the holder for the phone (which is attached with a fairly standard ball mount). The holder for the phone can be substituted for what you might pefer, such as a wireless/magnetic charger plate. Look at the video to see how it mounts to the car - though it hides that ball mount you can see in the product photos.
If you read the the bottom of this
Caution: Only for righthand drive models! Fits: MK4 2015 - all models with lefthand drive steering MK4 RF 2016 - 2023 all models with lefthand drive steering
Bit contradictory?
Right hand one is nonetheless the one you want for RHD cars. I guess they don’t proofread their web site well.
This is why I got Android auto?Apple carplay fitted, saves all the hassle of having to find a good phone holder.
It’s still nice to be able to see your phone screen
It’s not something I’ve ever found useful, mine lives in the little cubby under the climate controls.
