Phone Pairing NC with Bose Syatem

I have successfully paired a couple of phones previously, then I changed my phone fpr a Moto G5. The phone appears to pair OK, it says it’s connected to the Maxda but the car says that no phone is connected, even though it tells me that pairing was successful.

Any ideas?

You can check compatibility here:

Thanks but the Mazda compatibility website covers neither my model (NC with Bose) nor, I suspect, my phone which is a Moto g5.

I have had some success by letting the ICE system “warm up” and then switch off and on the Bluetooth in my phone. An app called Bluetooth autoconnect is recommended by Moto and may be helping as the on/off process forms part of its instructions.

I have seen similar Bluetooth connection problems in Android 6.0. They seem to have been fixed in a recent system update, but it was on a Lenovo device.

I have Android 7 on a Moto G5 which is a Lenovo phone. From my research there appear to be several issues with Bluetooth connection on these phones and I suspect the phone, not the car, as my £20 Nokia connected every time.

I seem to have fixed my Bluetooth connection problem, at least for now. Having read dozens of web postings I tried a string of suggestions:-

Install Bluetooth autoconnect app, this suggestion came from Moto

Turn off Bluetooth scanning, from several websites

Reset Bluetooth and wifi settings, from a techy website. This means I had to re-enter my wifi passwords and re pair my phone with both my cars. But !!!, I just moved the car and the phone pared up and showed the icon on the car’s screen.
