Hi guys,

 

I have had my eyes on a maroon mazda mx5 mk1 for a while now and I am about to buy it.

 

Few things I jsut want to run by firstly though.

 

Mileage is 177k

Recently on MOT history it says about corrosion and rust on the chassis

 

Other than that, it’s had all the work done!

 

Just seeing what people think about it? it is a P reg 96 mx5 mk1.

It sounds like a high mileage rusty old car, but you sound pretty keen on it

The thing is , the MOT history says it’s got corrosion and severe corrosion and rusty chassis , is this something I need to consider into being costly if anything was to happen?

I have spoke to the guy and he said he had it done so it could pass the MOT , also he said he’s doing a lot of things to it before he sells it.

What do you think?

Gut feeling, walk away!
If he’s only had enough done for it to get through the mot, he may have had a spit and cover up job.
It’s your call though.
