Wouldn’t say far off. The mx5 is 9/10ths the fun, 12 10ths if going more than 30 miles and infinitely easier to live with. All that alloy is very flimsy on a caterham too. They are safe enough if you get anti intrusion bars and the FIA roll bar but the alloy can get dinged by a gnat.

Blat chat, the cateham equivalent of this forum is full of people saying they did this and that. A lot of them barely cover 2k pa.

It is a forum full of people that modify their cars more than they drove them, a bit like me :smiley:

I’m just going to hire the Caterham at Oakmere, this summer for £200. That’d do me for a fix. Maybe hire the opentrack one for a track day experience. The mx5 is so good, I am loving it this summer. My skoda has hardly moved and I’ve spent a fortune on it!
