SOLVED.........
I am amazed that this window worked at all, as you can see from the image, the cable was splitting inside the outer sheath and had formed into a birdsnest, I checked the other side and it was the same. If you have slow or sticking power windows check this dont keep slopping grease onto the runners, it wont make a scrap of difference!!

Hi All,
My drivers side power window was starting to slow up so I did most of the things mentioned on several forums:
Cleaned the switch connections
sprayed the quarter light window channel
regreased channels that guide the window up and down, this made it worse!
Adjusted the position of the 2 channels to see if they were binding
Non of this seemed to work. I then removed the window so I could discount the window binding as the fault, having remomed the window I operated the switch, the mechanism was still very slow, sometimes stopping half way.
I then removed the rear channel, just to check it, it seems ok. The ony 2 things I can now think it can be is either the front channel or the motor. I dont think it is the motor because sometimes it is ok and sometimes not. I am tending to think that it has something to do with the front channel and it is worthy of note that since I have been messing with it it has got alot worse!
Before I rip out the motor and front channel, has anyone suffered with this and found a cure, I would be very grateful of some help...............
Cheers,
Barry
