Pre remap engine check

  1. My model of MX-5 is: NC1 2.0 Sport
  2. I’m based near: Berks
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __

I have an NC1 which it’s claimed already has a remap to about 170ish I think (I didn’t do it)

I’m very tempted by the BBR Super 200 and was wondering if there is any form of checks that can be carried out on the engine before any work is done.

I’ve run it on about 4 trackdays this year and it’s felt fine, but I would be good to get a little more confidence in it before spend half the value of the car again on the upgrade!

Does it have a stock header or aftermarket? if it has an aftermarket header charces are it has been mapped otherwise not much of a reason to do it tbh.

Only way to check if it achieves 170bhp is to dyno the car. BBR tuned mine and they flashed the ecu with ecutek rom. It has additional features that are available via the cruise control buttons. Unless there are any additional features that are available to indicate a custom rom have no other ideas how to check it.
