I can get Youtube on my computer and also on my TV but, the subject I can get on my computer isn’t on the TV Youtube. I use ROKU on the TV as this gives me a few other programmes as well that doesn’t cost me anything. I have used the search button on the TV Youtube but it says the subject is not there, even tho’ I can get it on my computer. Does anyone know why this is so? I would like to have it on TV as it is a lot warmer in the room where I have the TV. (as you probably know I am now an old 86 yo.
Sounds like the TV version might have ‘Restricted’ mode turned on. It’s to stop kids watching anything inappropriate.
Its in the settings menu on the YouTube app.

Another option is to find the video on your phone and then use the cast button in youtube to play it on the Roku, saves trying to enter something using the Roku remote.

When you watch YouTube videos on your phone or computer are you signed into YouTube, usually using your Gmail account, if you have one?
If you’re not signed in, try going to YouTube, sign in, watch your video, then sign into the YouTube app on the TV and the video you watched should appear in the history.
