Protecting body work from Exhaust heat

Hi,

I am looking at a Malian back box for my NB MK2.5 but I’ve heard it can melt the rear bumper after prolonged use. Since summer is effectively here, if there’s a chance of it happening, its probably gonna be about now.

I don’t have the system yet but I recall a video with some film protecting above the exhaust but I’m not sure what works best or what people would recommend. I’m not to DIY proficient either :sweat_smile:

Would something like this be any good?

Probably not but was the first thing I came across.
