Puddle in Boot!! Where does this gromit lead from??

My boot has had loads of condensation in it since it has been cold, I pulled up the carpet today and found about an inch of water in the left hand cubey hole… I have poured water over the roof and found the below leak…

Can anyone advise where this (circled in Red) leads from & how it can be fixed? I had the roof replaced in August…

MX5 Leak

My car is a 1999 1.8is

My guess is that when they have replaced the roof they have either split the rain rail and notnoticed/repaired it or they have not put the new roof into the rain rail properly. The rain water is therefore not running around the rain rail and into the drains behind the seatbelt towers.
Either take it back to the roof place or have a look yourself. It isn’t too hard to remove the retaining strips around the bottom of the rear screen.

Moved to Bodywork, Interior & Styling forum due to content.

Any chance of a pic from further back to give a better idea of the location?

 You’re slipping, Geoff. Can’t you tell [;)]
It’s behind the bolt on bulkhead that the jack handle fits onto, behind the passenger seat where all of the fuel pipe gubbins is.

I think

Good spot halli, never looked in there in a Mk2 boot, but it is very similar to a Mk1. I guess if the circled thing is a grommet it goes through the rear shelf. It looks a bit like a self adhesive cable tie though?

Yes thats right [:D], I had the hood replaced by Jack Smiths in Swansea…

Long way to go back…(I’m in Kenilworth, warwickshire)… if its the rain rails how hard is it to fix?
