Purchased a mazda MX5 roadster (eunos) import and new to have a 2nd key cut

 Hi, I hope someone can help me, i recently purchased a mazda MX5 and it had only 1 car key, the garage said that there was a few places i could try, Hall’s on alfreton road, nottingham and the other being a key cutting shop on mapperley plains, nottingham.  neither of them have been able to help ma as they say that because the car is an import, the key is slightly longer than the usual keys and they havent got a key block, to make me a spare key.

Is there anyone out there which lives in the nottingham / nottinghamshire area who knows of anywhere which would be able to cut me a new key for my japanese import mazda, desperate to get another one done so that i have more than one key.

I appreciate any help you can give me please.

Is there a code number stamped on your key near the plastic “head”? If so then you can get a key cut by code from R & R Security or Dandy Cars.

I had a key for my Mk1 cut by R & R after the local locksmith failed to make a working copy from my well-worn original key.

Mazda dealers can also order in replacement keys based on the code found on the original key, but also on the door lock barrels.
