Quilted interior

Hi all, new to the forum and currently working on a 1992 NA Eunos. I love quilted interiors and recently started learning how to do it, does anyone have a door card file so I can print and make cutouts?

This is the pieces I’ve done so far below, the car interior is completely stripped.

Found these CAD drawings . .

NA DOOR CARD CAD DRAWINGS

This is another option . .

ABS Door Panels

Mazda Miata NA Forever Door Panels. ABS plastic, customizable with all offered 1990-1997 NA options! £72.26 a pair

Many thanks, printed the pages and made a cut-out. Will test it this weekend.

Will start fitting them on the car in the days to come, my plan is for a full quilted interior.

Managed to put things together but unsure of what speaker surround to use

My tuppence hapennys worth;much as I appreciate the teardrops,I don’t think they gel with the quilted door .cards, which of themselves look cracking.

Hard to tell without seeing what else will be on the door cards (armrest, door handle…), but to me the metal looks very nice, and so does the teardrop shape.

How about painting the metal ones black? I prefer the look of the black against the tan. I also like the small size of the round ones, they show off more quilting and look in keeping with it.

That’s a great idea

Difficult decision, I like both.

I’d leave it until the door card was fixed with the other stuff like release handle and pull (or possibly a leather strap type pull) leaning towards the metal tear drop surround there?

The harder more durable surface of the tear-drops helps to protect the quilting against the inevitable shoe scuffs.
They seem to appear no matter how carefully we enter or exit the car!

I think Robbie’s idea is good, but maybe consider other colours as well.
Try Photoshopping colour substitutions on the teardrop with the other bits also lying on the card.

I’m also quilting the top dash and dash crash pad, eventually will do the whole car but my sewing machine doesnt hold enough thread for large pieces

Absolutely love quilted interiors and congratulations on your devotion/craftmasnhip on this :+1: :+1:. I’m looking forward to see the rest of your realisations. Are you planning to make a business out of this?
Just one point of critisism (my opinion); i believe the combination of the quilted upper door part and the quilted door card itself…is just a bit too much and the smaller quilted pattern of that upper door part (beside the fact that it is beautifully crafted) doesn’t matcht up very well with the larger pattern on the door cards.

I may make some diferent designs If I get my hands on a better sewing machine, we just welcomed our first baby so time is not on my side.
For the smaller patern I do agree is a bit too much but wanted to try something diferent.

It’s been a while but almost done with the interior main bits.

Car is currently away for an Mot, I’m hopefull one of these days a carbon miata quited carpet comes up for sale so I can make my own design using them to draft my own.
