I use a cupped hand - palm facing upwards, motioning from internal light backwards, as if dropping the hood myself. Important to grin like a loon whilst miming.
We’ve got an MX5er wave in work - palm down on top of head, fingers forward - motion as if wig flapping in breeze. Get some odd looks when walking past a fellow 5’er when they are in a meeting room etc.
