Race Glaze

Hello all

I have had “Ruby” (PRHT NC Mk3.5 2009) for just over a year now and the headlight lenses are becoming a bit dull and cloudy. I saw an ad in the latest STHT for a Polycarbonate/Acrylic Headlight Restorer from Race Glaze and wondered if anyone had experience of using this please?

Thanks
Alison

Not used that product but Armor all headlight restorer wipes work well.

Thanks for the tip!

I use Meguiars headlight restoration kit, £22 from Halfrauds, comes with a bottle of their PlastRX polish and a drill mop attachment. Brings plastic headlights up a treat and because you use a drill there’s almost no effort.

I restored the wife’s previous car headlights using Tcut and elbow grease, followed by a bit of Auto Glym polish, worked a treat.

I did the wife’s 19 year old XC90 on the weekend with 1000-3000 grit wet and dry, then polished with autoglym. I’m thinking about applying UV protection but leaving it a while to see how long it lasts as it didn’t take long to bring them up looking like new.

+1 to maguires, great kit.
Halfrauds made be chuckle

Thanks for all your suggestions. As I’m a bit low on my elbow grease these days I’ll go with the Armour All to start with and see how I get on

Never used the product, but I know the company owner and he is a detailing fanatic, so much so that he purchased the company and uses all his own products before selling them.
