Hi. Has anyone got any information on tickets ? Are we trying to meet up en`route any ideas.

This is a statement from Martin in the motorsports post on Rockingham.
"Just a quick update. We are awaiting receipt of the tickets so we can be sure exactly how many we will actually have on the day (there could be a few more to go around!) and can sort out the allocation. We’ve been to Rockingham and worked out a good meet point for the Monday morning so its all looking good.
Please keep an eye on this thread and as soon as we have definite information and can get everything confirmed we will post it all up…

At this moment in time im thinking along the lines of meeting up at the Knutsford Services on the M6 and picking other cars up en-route in other services.
It is approx 127 miles to Rockingham, roughly 2.5hrs driving direct on the M6 and maybe M6 Toll depending on traffic.
If the ticket collection time is the same as Silverstone which was at 9.30am, we are looking at a very early start…of course we will need a break so taking that into account it looks as if a 6am start from Knutsford services is on the cards and hopefully a drive through pick up of other 5’s in predetermined services.
Feedback will be most welcome…

Aaaaah he is back, I will be at the NWM monthly meet tomorrow night and will find out if any from there are attending at Rockingham, but they are doing the world record attempt with MOT on the Saturday / Sunday.
I did think along the lines of the A49 / A41 / A5 M6 Toll but would be slower and not so many services for others to join. How many we got?

Did look at the record attempt but decided not to. Maybe if it was planned earlier and why do you have to pay to for attempting world record?? or have i wires crossed
Apparently it cost’s a king’s ransom to have the GWR official there and to hire the track, but there wouldn’t be a profit for MOT would there or have I crossed my wires also?

Anyone wishing to join in convoy to Rockingham travelling down the M6 southbound read on:
First pick up point is at Knutsford Services on the M6 southbound, leave for 6am, pick up cars at Sandbach services approx 6.15am and J12 at 6.50am (this is a drive through pick up off roundabout).
From there we take the M6 Toll, continue west on the M6 then take exit at J19 and take the A14 towards Kettering then A43, A6003 then follow signs to Rockingham Speedway.
Please let me know asap if you would like to join us at another pick up point other than stated en route
