Radio code 2009 model

After a new battery was fitted my radio was constantly blinking RADIO CODE . I couldnt find the code which i was sure was written down somewhere! Took it into a main dealer and talked to parts dept. They were very helpful and suggested the last 4 digits of the chassis number could be the code. At this point they took over completely. Apparently the radio does not have a code - all that is required is that the FM button is held in for 5 seconds when the RADIO CODE is blinking! After 5 seconds it should beep and unlock.
After 10 minutes the service dept had it all going again and all free of charge. Well done Mazda Colchester John Banks

Asking about if it has one or you need one?

Many aren’t coded, it’s usually user or done by the dealer. To find out if it has a code try inputting one yourself. Refer to the handbook for how to do this. If you can input one it isn’t coded.
