I am looking to upgrade my rear brakes (the front brakes don’t need doing right now, so I’ll leave them until I need to replace the pads). I am looking at the EBC grooved/dimpled discs, but am concerned that they are only for models with Akebono rear calipers. How do I know what calipers are on my car and do EBC make a grooved/dimpled disc for cars with my rear calipers? I intend to fit “Greenstuff” pads to go with the new discs. Thanks for your help.
Measure the overal diameter of the rear disc, is it approx 250mm? If so they are standard diamter discs. If it is around 270mm diameter you have the big brakes.

With regards to the marketing hype re the groved disks, can you point us via a link to an independent test of these disks under controlled conditions compared to plain discs.
I have as yet to see the results of a controled test to show the results one way or an other.
Something that came up in work the other week, someone measuring a circumfrence then using it in a calculation that requires the diameter, school boy error.
