Rear hood mechanism judder

  1. My model of MX-5 is: 2008 roadster folding hard top
  2. I’m based near: Matlock
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: the rear roof mechanism judders as it comes down. Just started happening and was wondering if anyone has experienced this or possible know why?

The consensus on here is that the silver coloured bolt on both left and right sections of the mechanism has to be checked frequently for tightness.
I would be checking those bolts first…

Agreed.

Mine kept working loose until I applied some of the gentler Loctite. They’ve been OK since.
