- My model of MX-5 is: __nd
- I’m based near: __
- I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __my right hand rear light is not working but the indicator works I think the rear lights are on the same fuse so it can’t be that being that they are led I take it I will have to replace the complete unit is there a way to test it just to make sure
From here Mazda MX-5 Owner’s Manual it shows '24 TAIL 20 A Tail lights, Number plate lights, Position lights. so if only one is out then the fuse is OK.
I would take the boot trim out and check for 12 Volts at the connector for the right hand lamp.
You will find the wiring diagram for the colours in here Online manual - MX5 Manual | Mazda MX5 (Mk4) 2015+ along with instructions to remove the light unit.
It is worth checking the wiring before replacing the whole unit. The brake and the side lights are LED in the rear light cluster.
