I made a start today. Washed the car (and it started snowing) leathered it in the garage. I then clayed the car and what a difference. I then commenced with the power polisher and compounded the whole car. And pretty much ran out of time, so she got a quick polish and I will resume tomorrow. 
Let me know how you get on with your Kestrel DAS-6; I’m going to be polishing ours tomorrow, providing the weather forecast does what it says (8 degrees, no rain!). Hope you don’t actually use a chamois cloth … drying towels are far better.
If it’s too cold, I don’t bother - polishing compounds freeze and go hard quite easily.
