Any suggestions how i can treat the rust that is beginning to form under my arches would be appreciated. I have uploaded a photo. I have owned the car for 2 years and believe it was treated against rust previously, however i have just noticed it is starting to bobble again… Any advice would be great.
That looks like common spider creeps under the paint on a MK 2.5, the paint was not the best on them for protection and the creep is from none protected edges with paint, we see it all the time, it wants taking back ,treating, re painting and then sealing to prevent it happening again.
But what is the bottom of the wing like and the front that conects to the nose cone?

The front that connects to the nose cone looks OK i think (image attached). The underside of the wing looks a little different (although this was the bit that was treated previously I believe).
She as had paint before for some type of correction? and those holding bolts have seen far better days .if you are lucky once you crack those nuts to release the bottom of the wing away from front sill section, it might be just in time to save it , there are repair sections now to save the wing if needed, you will find everything rotting down behind there as it is a badly designed drainage point for the windscreen scuttle , so everything gets down there which regularly needs flushing that most owners do not realize .
