Recommended Engine oil for mk4 sports venture 1.5 2021

Hello everyone.
Sorry for not being around for some time but I was made Redundant when we broke up for Christmas so its been a rough period last few months but I just started my new job a week ago so hopefully normality will return. So I’m in the process of doing my own service and would like some info on recommended engine oil.

Have a look here Mazda MX-5 Owner’s Manual or ring Millers and they will advise.
Any ‘quality’ oil within the spec. shown above will be more than adequate for normal use.
I used the Mazda oil from MX5parts when I did the service myself this year. Engine Oil, Genuine Mazda 0W20, 5 Ltrs, MX5 Mk4 – MX5 Parts but many Mazda dealerships use an alternative when they do the servicing.

As Malc says above, use an in spec oil and you’ll be fine, the specs are in the handbook and on the rear of any oil brands container.

Not trying to confuse your choice I used an in spec 5w 30 after much deliberation, mines also a 1.5 ND.

It is worth considering Mobil 1 0w/30 ESP C3 engine oil. A C3 oil is designed for direct injection engines and helps reduce inlet valve fouling and offers better protection.
