Hi can anyone point me in the right direction on participating in a regularity rally or time trial in Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire/Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas???

Have a look at these links. They are the association of local motor clubs in the south and south west areas. lots of information on all types of events.
Thanks Julian for the link however I can’t see regularity/time rallies on this site, I want to find a club for beginners etc.
You might find some of the clubs in the association will run closed to club events that may well suit. When I was younger they were called 12 car rallies. Standard cars on none damaging roads, Great fun. Normal start time about 20:00 hours and finish about 22:30, They are always run in the dark and involve all sorts of navigation.

I have also done a few 12 car events with Basingstoke motor club
20th March - The March Hare 12 Car - FDMC - All on OS Map 175 starting near Yateley and finishing in Eversley, offering 55 miles of country lanes with navigation to cater for Novices, Experts and marked maps for beginners.
