Rejoined after a short break

Early last year after 19yrs owning 6 various MX5’s I decided to sell and cease my MX5OC membership. Well that lasted 17 months before I decided to try the MK4 for the first time,
so today I’ve bought one and rejoined…

Nov 2003 MK1 Laguna Blue

2007 MK2.5

2011 MK1 VR Ltd

This was written off by a large stag, which set off a series of short ownership, firstly another MK1 Laguna blue (4th MX) but we decided we wanted air bags after the stag incident so went to a MK3

2017 5th

I didn’t like the MK3 and had the chance to get a MK1 RS Ltd so

2018 6th

and so to today continuing the blue theme I bought this

Welcome back.

I’d like to hear your take and comparison of your cars if you ever have the inclination to share your thoughts.

Cheers,

The MK1’s were the best, maybe because they were imports, and I have to say VR Ltd was
the favourite. RS Ltd was by far the most impressive and superb condition, Reacaro seats were very comfortable for me, but you end up concerned to park it anywhere. MK2.5 was a more refined drive and my wife preferred it but I didn’t really connect with it. We tried the MK3 purely for the safety aspect but then the RS advert appeared…

Thanks Ian. Fascinating insights.
I wonder how the ND will compare and where it will sit in the order of preference?

Hopefully it will be a drive more like a modern MK1, I’ll find out soon as pick up next Friday and take it to France June 18th for a 5 day test drive.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it does.
Enjoy your adventure.
